The Clock Tower in town of Botevgrad was built in the year 1866 by the local master builder – Vuno Markov. The bell tower is the work of Atanas Dimitrov, and the clock mechanism is by Gencho Kantardzhiyata. It is the tallest Revival style clock tower in Bulgaria /30 m/. Declared a cultural monument of national importance in 2007. and is included in the 100 national tourist sites under № 81. Even today the century-old tower rises majestic in the center of the city, and the ringing of its bell reminds the younger generation of the heroic history of Botevgrad.
